National NGO Smile Africa Development Organization (SAADO) on Tuesday donated equipment to the Northern Bahr El Ghazal State Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare.
The coordinator for SAADO, Garang Lual Manyang told Juba Echo on Wednesday that the donated items that include computers are meant to support the capacity of the ministry.
“We have handed over the assets which include three computers, 3 printers, executive wooden table, two executive wooden chairs among others,” Garang said.
He said this was a result of their partnership with the ministry on a project for people living with disabilities in the state.
“The ministry requested us last year, and we had to look into that, eventually we had to give them the mentioned items as we have seen how they are badly affected by lack of equipment,” Lual said.
He advised the ministry to take good care of the assets.
In response, the acting Minister for Gender and Social Welfare, Riiny Riiny applauded the organization for the support.
“On behalf of the Ministry, this is a great step forward and we will ensure that the assets are kept in good condition. We know that a good working environment requires assets such as what they have given to us,” Riiny said.
