South Sudan Set To Create Youth Enterprise Advisory Board

The South Sudan’s transitional government of national unity has announced plan  to establish an advisory board for the youth enterprise projects in accordance with  the 2018 revitalized agreement on the resolution of conflict in the world’s youngest nation.

Dr.Albino Bol Dhieu, the national minister for youth and sports revealed this to journalists at Nyakuron Cultural center during the celebration of the International Youth Day on Wednesday.

The 2018 revitalized agreement on the resolution of conflict in the republic of south Sudan calls for the establishment of youth enterprise fund to facilitate capacity building and economic empowerment of young people within the territory of South Sudan.

”The ministry of youth and sports with  support from United Nations are now coming up with engagement programs for the young people of South Sudan because, we can save ourselves if we engage in sporting activities and micro finance activities,” said Dhieu

He signaled that, his Excellency Salva Kirr is going to form the youth enterprise and capacity building project very soon.

Dr.Dhieu added that the president is likely going to entrust the headship of the advisory committee board whose role will be to choose young but talented people with entrepreneurial ideas to SRSG.

The United Nations Resident Coordinator who also doubles as the Humanitarian coordinator in South Sudan Sara Beysolow Nyanti, placed forward that young people should be provided with opportunity to imagine their own future.

“International youth day is about thinking about what youth want, what youth think, what youth feel and what youth desire, the young people of today needs to be able to imagine what their future can be,” said Nyanti.

Whereas the world this year celebrated the international youth day under the theme: “intergenerational solidarity: creating a world for all ages,”South Sudan celebrated hers under the theme: “Solidarity to build South Sudan for all ages.”
