Opposition raises concern over delayed implementation of peace agreement

Continued violation and delays in concluding critical pending tasks under 2018 Revitalized Peace deal is worrying, Puok Both Baluang, the public elation director for Sudan People Liberation Movement in Opposition has said.

 “The violence should not worry only the SPLM-IO,it should worry all parties to the agreement because this is a an attempt to bring the country back to square one, which is unlikely wanted by all parties, it should worry the entire RTGONU,” said Baluang who is also the Press Secretary of the First Vice President.

Adding, “ We believe the attack is not only on SPLA-IO forces but it is attack on the revitalize transitional government, it is attempt to derail stability of South Sudan, it should be dealt with accordingly, the role of the transitional government is to ensure south Sudan is safe and stable.”
