President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday received letters of credence from four newly accredited ambassadors to South Sudan, as the country seeks to strengthen diplomatic ties and expand bilateral cooperation.

The ambassadors are Sem Ennio Maes of Côte d’Ivoire, Deepak Miglani of India, Sebastian Jost Bertram of Germany and Sitwat Nayeem of Bangladesh.

The presentation of credentials formally marks the ambassadors’ accreditation to South Sudan and provides a basis for diplomatic engagement between Juba and their respective governments.

The presidency said the engagements are expected to contribute to stronger bilateral relations and expanded cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
