South Sudan Religious leaders welcome Archbishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland

Religious Leaders in South Sudan welcome the Archbishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland, Archbishop Tapiyo Roma. on Thursday, the Finish delegations received were by Bishop Dr. Paul Yugusuk Bishop of the episcopal church of South Sudan internal province of Central Equatoria State, Bishop Ezra Bakoyogo of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Sudan, and Muslim head Juma Ali. The two church leaders, Revenant Dr, Tapio Luoma archbishop of Turku, and Finland Evangelical Lutheran of Finland and international executive director of Finland church aid (FCA) Dr, Tomi Jarvinen, According to the church leaders their aim of the visit is to follow up to the ecumenical visit in February 2023 were Pop Francis, archbishop of Canterbury and the moderator for the church of Scotland Pilgrimage to south Sudan to amplify the needs for inclusive dialogue in implementing the peace agreement and advocating for the role of religious and church leaders to visit Gorom Refugees camp to access their humanitarian situations in the area.

The Two visiting days in South Sudan offer a unique opportunity to highlight the ongoing challenges and progress made in South Sudan, and Sudan peace processes to showcase the important role that religious, and traditional leaders and international partners play in supporting South Sudan’s development. They said (FCA) is the largest Finland development cooperation NGO and the second largest in providing disaster relief aid and professional non-profit, Non-political neutral, and faith-based humanitarian assistance through education, livelihoods, and the right to peace for the benefit of local communities worldwide. The leaders are engaged in consultation with senior Government official leadership to find permanent solutions for humanitarian situations and visit Gorom Refugees and IDP camps in central Equatoria state and other states, to Assess the ongoing project of Finland in South Sudan.
