The Commissioner of Aweil East County on Saturday joined the public to participate in tree planting ceremony held at Madhol Modern Secondary school located in Northern Bahr El Gazal state.
Alexander Kuol Makuach, the secretary general of the resource mobilization committee for the school, said they have been entrusted with the funds mobilized from the public for the renovation of the school which was constructed with funds from the Constituency Development Fund.
He disclosed that the tree planting initiative demonstrates that renovation of the school by Jak Yar construction company is about to conclude.
Makuach said they are waiting for school furniture to be transported from Wau town of Western Bahr El Ghazal State by Don Bosco missionaries.
The resource mobilization committee in Aweil East County together with the diaspora mobilized funds to renovate the Madhol Modern Secondary School that was constructed in 2010.
The school collapsed due to hail storm that hit it some years back.
