Lule James enthroned as new Anglican bishop of Kajokeji Diocese

The Episcopal Church of South Sudan has enthroned Lule James Kenyi as the new bishop of the Anglican diocese of Kajokeji replacing the late Emmanuel Murye Modi who passed away last year.

Kenyi replaces late Emmanuel Murye Modi, the Bishop of Episcopal Church Diocese of Kajo-Keji who passed away in December 2022 in Nairobi following illness.

Paul Pitia Yugusuk, the Archbishop for Central Equatoria Internal Province while speaking during the event on Sunday in Kajokeji County, advised the new bishop to be humble and lead the people in a proper manner.

Religious faithfuls converged from different parts of the country to witness the enthronement at Emmanuel Cathedral of the new bishop.

The event was graced by Emmanuel Adil Anthony, the governor for Central Equatoria state and attended by other Christian clerics.

Emmanuel Adil Antony, the Governor for Central Equatoria state called on refugees from the camps in neighboring Uganda to return so that they can develop their county, adding that his government is working hard to achieve peace and stability across the state.
