Equip Africa Consultancy wins 2022 Youth Innovation Competition

Equip Africa International Consultancy firm has been crowned the winner of the 2022 Youth Innovation Challenge in Juba.

Winning of the challenge comes with a 1,500 U.S dollar package. Selection based on innovative and impact solutions among four competitors.

The competition aimed at helping young people promote transformative community solutions in the recovery from both conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative was designed to identify and support transformative innovations and resilience of young South Sudanese.

 Topics for the 2022 Youth Innovation Challenge ranged from mental health and circular economy to livelihood.

Gabriel Mading, Judges for the 2022 Youth Innovation Challenge said the winner has gone through the legal process.

“We have five contesters who competed and who have gone through their files and their representations and our result is the final and the winner is Equip Africa International Consultancy,” Mading announced after the competition held on Friday in Juba.

Nelson Emma, the Managing Director of Equip Africa International Consultancy described the win as a miracle.

“This is just a miracle. We prepared for this competition within the shortest period of time and immediately I announced the winner, it is just a miracle,” Emma told reporters in an interview after the competition.

 “This is my first time to win, this is first-ever and I am not going to stop her, I am going to compete again.”

He said he will start the registration and marketing of his consultancy firm.

“I will start doing marketing and start lobbying for partners who might need my product and of which I have already identified and I will be knocking on their doors for more business,” Emma said. 

He said his firm will be dealing in books.
