The Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, Paulinho Lukudu, has urged the newly established leadership of the state butchers’ union to maintain their independence.
Speaking at the inaugural general election event of the butchers’ union at Bros Hotel in Juba, the Deputy Governor emphasized that the new union leadership should avoid letting politics influence their work, as this could interfere with and undermine the organization’s responsibilities.
The election event brought together 106 participants from five counties in Central Equatoria State, as well as the Wonduruba Administrative Area. This first general election was held under the theme, “Vote Today. Have a Better Butchers Union in Central Equatoria State.”
