Exciting news as the South Sudan government partners with MTN South Sudan and the South Sudan Basketball Federation (SSBF) to offer free viewing of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in various regions across the country. The aim is to bring the Olympic spirit to the people of South Sudan and promote unity and sportsmanship among the citizens.
The collaboration among the South Sudan government, MTN South Sudan, and SSBF was officially revealed during a press conference held in the capital city of Juba. The Ministry of Youth and Sports alongside representatives from MTN South Sudan and SSBF, emphasized the significance of bringing the Olympic Games to the people of South Sudan and the positive influence it can have on the youth and the community at large.
Screens for the free viewing of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be installed in nine states and one Administrative Area across South Sudan. These regions include:
Central Equatoria
Northern Bhar el Ghazal
Eastern Equatoria
Western Equatoria
Jonglei
Lakes
Warrap
Western Bhar el Ghazal
Unity State
Abyei Administrative Area
South Sudan Basketball team will kickstart their games at Puerto Rico on the 28th July,2024 at 11:00 AM followed by a massive game against the United States on 31st July at 9:00PM CAT.
