Calm returns to Molobur Boma of Ladu Payam

Calm has returned to Molobur Boma of Ladu Payam after Emmanuel Ezbon Tete visited the area to address insecurity caused by land grabbers.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the National Member of Parliament representing Northern Baria at The Transitional National Assembly, Hon. Thomas Gore, and the security coordinator for Luri and Ladu Payams.

During the visit, Hon. Commissioner Tete stated that the county authority has deployed security forces to contain the security situation and called on all South Sudanese to adhere to the laws of the country.

He assured the community of Molubur Boma, Ladu Payam of the government’s commitment and full support for the safety and security of the population of Luri and Ladu Payams.

Commissioner Emmanuel Ezbon Tete also announced that the government will demolish every structure put by the land grabbers on demarcated land in the area. He further warned individuals buying land from land grabbers to desist from the act and advised everyone willing to acquire land to follow the right procedures.

On his part, Hon. Thomas Gore the member of Parliament representing Northern Bari at the TNLA, emphasized the need to end the ongoing insecurity caused by land grabbers and called on those who want to acquire land to follow the right procedure and the law.

Meanwhile, the head chief of Ladu Payam, Chief Beda Elia Tongun, commented that the security situation has improved in the last few days after the deployment of security forces by the county authority.

He urged the government to find an amicable solution to the constant land grabbing problem as soon as possible, as the area has already suffered many losses. Chief Tongun also pointed out that those who carry out land-grabbing activities are against the government of South Sudan
