Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Proverbs 4:23-24.
The heart of man is the central stage of all that happens to us and all that will continue to happen in our life. Man is the only specie created by God that possesses the will to choose and act but all this starts in the heart of man, and that’s why our above scripture of proverbs 4:23 says to keep our hearts with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life
Everything that you want to achieve or that thing you envision to achieve, it all starts in the heart of man, the heart of man plays a great role in our lives.
The word heart is used interchangeable with the word, mind. Therefore, its vital that you guard it so well. God wants us to live a glorious life in him but these won’t be possible unless we guard the most envied place of enemy, that’s the we must find possible ways to guard it continuously for continuous triumph in God; below are the ways of protecting it.
Binding the word continually in your heart.
In the book of proverbs 6:20-21 the Bible says, my son keeps thy father’s commandments and forsake not the law of thy mother: bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. The word of God is the only thing all mankind has been entrusted with preserve him or her from the adversities of life, why? The word is what lives forever and remember you and I were born by the word of word according to 1 Peter 1:23. let’s read for better clarification, being born again, not of corruptible but incorruptible, by the word of God, which lived and abided forever. So as a believer you ant live effectively without the word of God in place in your life because when you run away from your eternal source you die naturally; you have seen, when a fish is disconnected from is disconnected from the water, it dies immediately. Therefore, the word must be the place of refuge and rest for every believer in Christ Jesus.
Talk in accordance with the word
Another way of keeping our hearts is talking right always, all of us are the result of our daily confessions; either negatively or positively. So, it’s of importance that we talk right always among our peers. life and death are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 4:24 tells us to put away a forward mouth and perverse lips and emphasized to put away perverse life far from us Why? It is destructive to talk wrong. The circumstances can be averted so easily if we confess the word of continuously in our lives. Many problems are constant in our lives due to our negative confessions. Whatever negative thing that is happening in your life. You can avert it completely by sowing the right seeds of the word and alter every negative situation you are in.
Guarding your heart is so vital, allow the word to do its job in your heart; don’t harden your heart continuously. Free your heart for the word of God to have fee course in your heart and life to live at the top of your game in Christ Jesus and as you confess the word, you will maintain your position of relevance.
Prayer of salvation
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge you today as lord of your life forever and ever; for with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Therefore, I believe and trust you, today am born again in Jesus name. Amen!
