The transition government of national unity has set sights on tarmacking 126000 km of roads across the country.
The Minister of Roads and Bridges Simon Mijok Mijak, said Tuesday during symposium on roads at Pyramid Hotel in Juba.
“Africa Resource Corporation (ARC) has partnered with Tai Group to construct roads, we are not just building roads we are paying compensation of our martyrs, the journey is too long but our target is to achieve 126000 km of roads,” said Mijak.
Aduot Madit, the Operation Manager of Amuk Road Engineering Company, said that their Company will be constructing roads in Warrap state, Unity state, Abyei administrative Area and Ruweng.
Madit said the company has been contracted by the government to begin construction of some of these roads during incoming dry season.
“We are going to construct roads in Unity state, Warrap state, and the two administrative areas of Abyei and Ruweng,” he said.
